What's happening?!

I don't know what kind of stage of my life I'm in right now. I feel like I'm skiing through thick heavy powder that's not very steep. Just when I think I'm getting the hang of it, I face plant. I then get up, brush off the snow, trek back up the hill to get my ski, snap it back onto my boot, and try to pick up speed again. Ugh!!
